I wish my mathematician friend a happy birthday.
- I almost forgot about these holidays, they mean almost nothing to me, at most they make me eat a little more on that day. When they mentioned that today is their birthday, I just found out it's their birthday.
- This is somewhat embarrassing, as a friend I didn't pay attention to this matter. Even though they thanked me for my belated birthday wishes, I still feel somewhat inadequate.
- But there's nothing I can do, they are now in a different time zone from me, and I can't fly over there to give them a surprise.
- Since I can't do anything, I'll just write something and celebrate their birthday on their behalf. This is the birthday gift.
